This oil painting was a revisit to my childhood. After returning to the U.S. from Japan where my father was stationed, my mother created an oil painting of Mt. Fuji on our farmhouse wall. Watching her paint that painting inspired me to start oil painting myself. The beauty of this majestic mountain and colorful vegetation has always put love in my heart for family and the beauty of the scenery.
