The Nubble lighthouse stands tall against the soft blue skies, weathered stone, and the warm red roofs of the lighthouse keeper's cottage. The hush of gulls and the salt air is a steady presence along the grey boulders and Atlantic ocean waves crashing upon the rocks. I couldn't resist painting this well known Maine landmark because of its beauty and majestic landscape.
