Last year, in the spring, a winter snowfall fell upon the east coast beaches. It was a spectacular scene that happens rarely and I just had to paint it. The white, untouched layer of snow upon the sand and one set of footprints leading to the Kindred Spirit Mailbox. The dark blue grey skies with a hint of orange cast upon the journey. And the soft whisper of a winter wind to inspire the journal writer to quicken their message. This is my original oil painting of Bird Island on this day.
