I was challenged to think of a story from the bible that impacted my life and others around me. Right away, I thought of the boy who left his family to spend his portion of the family riches on worldly things. The prodigal son eventually returns to his father and he greets him with open arms. However, for many, their children are still lost. They have not stopped resisting for unknown reasons or they don't know how they can ever start again after they go away. This is my original oil painting of the days leading up to the prodigal son's return.
