This is my original oil painting of a pelican flying off the pier.  During the spring, we were walking toward Bird Island in Sunset Beach.  To our amazement, this beautiful pelican was perched on the pier!  We stared at him as he did likewise.  After awhile, he made a majestic take-off into the air.  Everytime I see this painting, I feel like I am the pelican on my way to my next adventure free as a bird.
